  • What is a PVC mixer machine?

A PVC mixer machine is auxiliary equipment used to blend PVC resin powder with additives before extrusion processing. It ensures uniform dispersion of stabilizers, lubricants, pigments, calcium carbonate and other components, improving product quality and extrusion stability.

HOW DOES A PVC MIXER MACHINE WORK?

Work Principle of PVC Horizontal Mixer

A PVC mixer blends PVC resin with additives and other ingredients into a uniform material before extrusion. The EANS PVC horizontal heating cooling mixer uses a horizontal mixing structure, which enables faster material circulation and higher mixing efficiency while maintaining consistent mixing performance. The complete mixing process includes automatic screw feeding, high-speed heating and mixing, automatic discharge, cooling, and final discharge.

1. Materials Loading: PVC resin and additives are prepared according to the required formulation and automatically conveyed into the heating mixer through a screw feeding system.

2. High-Speed Mixing & Heating: High-speed mixing blades create intensive material circulation and friction, helping distribute the additives uniformly throughout the PVC resin while increasing the material temperature.

3. Temperature Control: The material reaches the required mixing temperature by heating and self-friction.

4. Cooling Process: The cooling mixer continuously agitates the material while cooling water circulates through the cooling jacket, rapidly reducing the material temperature and helping prevent caking and overheating.

5. Feeding to extruder: After reaching the required cooling temperature, the finished PVC dry blend is discharged and transferred to downstream extrusion line.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL PVC MIXERS

Horizontal vs. Vertical PVC Mixer
ComparisonHorizontal PVC MixerVertical PVC Mixer

Which PVC Mixer Should You Choose?

Horizontal PVC Mixer: Suitable when faster mixing cycles and higher material throughput are important for the production process.

Vertical PVC Mixer: Suitable for applications where moderate mixing capacity is required

The appropriate mixer depends on the material formulation, batch size, bulk density, temperature-control requirements and downstream production process.

FEATURES OF HORIZONTAL PVC MIXER

Advantages Of Horizontal PVC Mixer

1. Heating & Cooling Integration

The PVC heating and cooling mixer combines high-speed heating mixing with horizontal cooling to achieve thorough material blending and rapid temperature reduction. The cooling process helps stabilize the mixed material and reduce the risk of caking and material degradation.

2. Horizontal Mixing Structure

The horizontal PVC mixer promotes efficient material circulation for faster mixing and higher processing efficiency, making it suitable for higher-throughput PVC raw material preparation.

3. Balanced Mixing Blades

The mixing blades undergo strict static and dynamic balancing tests to ensure smooth high-speed operation, reduce vibration and maintain stable mixing performance during continuous PVC raw material mixing.

4. Double Sealing & Automatic Control

The mixing chamber adopts a double-sealing structure to help reduce powder leakage and prevent external contaminants from entering. The PVC mixing machine can be equipped with a PLC-based automatic control system for mixing temperature, mixing time and automatic discharge.

5. Wide Application in PVC Extrusion

The PVC mixer is designed for raw material preparation before PVC extrusion. The mixing system can be configured according to different material formulations and production requirements.

6. Complete Mixing Solution

EANS provides complete PVC mixer machine solutions according to the customer's formulation, required mixing capacity and downstream extrusion process. Automatic screw feeding, on-site trial runs and comprehensive after-sales technical support are available to support stable production.

FAQ ABOUT PVC HORIZONTAL MIXER

What is a PVC mixer used for?

A PVC mixer is used to uniformly mix PVC resin with additives and other ingredients before extrusion. It prepares a consistent PVC dry blend for products such as pipes, window and door profiles, wall panels, marble sheets, and flooring.

Why is PVC mixing important before extrusion?

PVC mixing is a critical step before extrusion because it ensures that PVC resin and all additives are evenly distributed, creating a stable and consistent material for the extrusion process. Proper mixing directly affects the quality, appearance, mechanical properties, and production stability of final PVC products.

What capacity does a PVC mixer have?

Common models include: SRL-Z100/200(200 kg per hour), SRL-Z200/500(350 kg per hour), SRL-Z300/600(550 kg per hour),SRL-Z500/1000(950 kg per hour), SRL-W800/2500(1600 kg per hour), SRL-W1000/3000(2000 kg per hour), etc.

What is the difference between a horizontal and vertical PVC mixer?

A horizontal PVC mixer uses a horizontal mixing structure for efficient material circulation and faster mixing, making it suitable for higher-throughput applications. A vertical mixer uses a vertical mixing structure and may be preferred for applications with different capacity or factory layout requirements.

How does the EANS PVC heating and cooling mixer work?

The system uses automatic screw feeding to transfer raw materials into the heating mixer. After high-speed heating and mixing, the hot material is automatically discharged into the cooling mixer, where it is continuously mixed and cooled before final discharge.

What PVC products can be produced using the mixed material?

The prepared PVC dry blend can be used in various extrusion applications, including PVC pipes, PVC window and door profiles, PVC wall panels, PVC marble sheets, PVC flooring, and decorative profiles. The formulation and mixing parameters can be adjusted according to the specific product.

How does EANS help customers select a PVC mixer?

EANS selects the mixer configuration according to the customer's PVC formulation, required capacity, and downstream extrusion line. EANS can provide a complete mixing solution, on-site trial runs, and after-sales technical support to help verify the mixing performance before production.
