Home Product Auxiliary Machines PE PP WPC Wood Plastic Pelletizing Line
A PE PP WPC pelletizing line is a wood plastic extrusion and pelletizing system designed to process polyethylene (PE), PP, wood flour, and additives into uniform WPC pellets. The line typically includes feeding, parallel twin-screw mixing and extrusion, pelletizing, cooling, and pellet screening processes. These processes work together to ensure stable material processing, uniform pellet size, and consistent product quality. The resulting WPC pellets can be used as standardized raw materials for further WPC product manufacturing, helping improve production stability, pellet quality, and downstream processing efficiency.

1. Pre-Mixed Material Feeding
Pre-mixed polyethylene (PE), wood flour, and additives are fed into the PE WPC pelletizing line through the screw feeder. The material is prepared according to the required WPC formulation before entering the extrusion process.
2. Parallel Twin-Screw Extrusion
The pre-mixed material enters the parallel twin-screw extruder, where it is conveyed, melted, mixed, and plasticized to form a uniform WPC melt. Stable extrusion helps maintain consistent material flow during the WPC pelletizing process.
3. Pelletizing Die
The plasticized WPC material is extruded through the pelletizing die and formed into continuous strands with a controlled cross-section, preparing the material for subsequent pelletizing.
4. Cooling
The hot extruded strands are cooled by the cooling system and fan to stabilize the material before pellet cutting or crushing.
5. Pelletizing and Crushing
The cooled WPC strands are processed by the crusher/pelletizer into WPC pellets of the required size. The pelletizing process converts the extruded WPC material into a convenient, standardized form for downstream processing.
6. WPC Pellet Collection
The finished WPC pellets are collected in the material hopper for storage and further use in WPC product manufacturing.
Choosing a PE WPC pelletizing line should be based on the material formulation, wood flour content, required capacity, pellet specifications, and downstream application. The following factors help determine the right pelletizing configuration for your production requirements.

1. Material Formulation and Wood Flour Content
Confirm the ratio of PE, wood flour, and additives in the pre-mixed material. Higher wood flour content can increase feeding difficulty, material wear, and processing requirements, so the screw configuration and feeding system should be selected according to the actual formulation.
2. Required Production Capacity
Choose the extruder model according to the required output. A larger extruder is not necessarily better if the production capacity does not match the actual formulation and processing conditions.
3. Feeding and Vacuum Exhaust
Wood flour has relatively low bulk density and can absorb moisture easily. The feeding system should provide stable material conveying, while an effective vacuum exhaust system helps remove moisture and volatile substances during extrusion. For high wood flour formulations, these two systems are particularly important for maintaining stable pellet quality.
4. Pelletizing Method and Pellet Size
The pelletizing method should match the material characteristics and required pellet specifications. Air-cooled hot-cut pelletizing can reduce contact with water and is suitable when low pellet moisture is important. Water-cooled strand pelletizing can also be used when the material formulation and subsequent drying process are properly controlled. The required pellet size should also be confirmed before selecting the pelletizing configuration.
5. Final Application
Consider how the WPC pellets will be used after pelletizing, such as for WPC decking, profiles, boards, or other wood-plastic composite products. The downstream application can affect the required formulation, pellet quality, and production capacity.
Before selecting a PE WPC pelletizing line, confirm: material formulation, wood flour content, required capacity, pellet size, pelletizing method, and final application.
